The 3 Pieces Of Copy You Need To Launch And Sell Today.
I’ve rewritten this introduction exactly 49857 times. I started with a ‘skin a cat’ reference. And then I’m like, I hate cats so that’s not happening.
Then I went on to talk about human nature and all I could think about was Australia’s hottest boy band from the 90s.
Then I googled the path of least resistance and all the spiritual gurus came out of the woodwork.
Basically, there are a million ways to skin a sale, but as a human who loves the easy life, the path of least resistance is my favourite.
Here are the 3 pieces of copy you need to launch and sell today.
01. The letter.
You’re not going to write a big dramatic sales page complete with fancy graphics that require a rocket scientist to upload on your website. No, you’re going to write a letter. And you’re going to make it conversational. Like you’re talking to your best friend. You need something that people can read, get the FOMO, and pay you.
Bells and whistles are considered non-essential business.
What to Include in your letter:
Start with a story that makes them feel like they’re getting an email from their best friend.
A segue sentence to connect your story to what you’re selling.
Sales pitch. What are you selling? What’s included? What are the outcomes? and WHY will they miss out if they don’t take action?

02. Repurpose your letter.
There’s a marketing rule that states people need to be exposed to your message 7 times before they say yes.
Whether you believe magical number 7 or not, we can all agree that people need to be exposed multiple times to a message before receiving it and taking action on it.
Your sales letter can give you 5 other pieces of content across your social media platforms.
Repurpose 1: The Whole Letter
Rewrite: Remove references to emailing / inbox / hitting reply.
Repurpose 2: The Stand Out Quote
Rewrite: Take a quote, put it on a card. Use the quote + explanation in the caption.
Repurpose 3: The Story Snippet
Rewrite: Take the story and share it on socials.
Repurpose 4: The Straight Sales Snippet
Rewrite: Remove the story and lead up and only share your sales pitch
Repurpose 5: The Engagement Snippet
Rewrite: Turn a statement into a question and ask it.
03. Write and share another sales letter.
Rinse and repeat. Yes, it’s important to know how people respond to your first sales letter but your insights won’t be accurate until that person has seen it 7 times.
So take stock of the response, but know you're not done.
You need to write again. And again.
Bonus tip to launching and selling today:
Sell to your warm audience.
You’ve already done the groundwork to turn them from random to ‘hey, I know you!.’
And not only do they know you. They like you and they trust you. That’s what we call a win-win-win. Your list and community are ripe for the selling and this is the first place you should launch to.
Yes, you can still sell from a tiny list.
If you have no list, you can sell to your social networks.
If you don't have an online presence, you can reach out to friends and family asking for a referral.
Your words are your most powerful business asset, helping you stand out from the crowd, attract more dream clients, and even launch and sell today.
